HISTORY
Westcoast Cylinders Inc. is a family owned business founded in 1960 In New Westminster, British Columbia. Royal product was created to satisfy the requirements of the North America’s wood and resource industry and grew out of the need for dependable and long lasting cylinders that were simple to repair. As we have grown we have transformed into a global supplier of dependable actuators for custom and heavy duty applications that spans North America, Oceania, and Europe.
Today, we provide actuators into a many different industries that require robust construction and specific configurations. In creating our products we listened to the people that use and repair them and focused on what they liked and disliked. Our products are designed and manufactured to withstand the toughest industrial applications while still maintaining ease of repair. With experience and application knowledge going back to 1960 and with well over 5000 custom designs, we can assist you in finding an actuator that fits your application and budget.
FACILITY
Royal Cylinders has 2 locations to serve you. Our main manufacturing facility is located in New Westminster, British Columbia, which is 12 miles (20 km) east of Vancouver.
At this 24,000 sq. ft. modern CNC facility, we design and manufacture the Royal line of products along with an extensive inventory of spare parts and accessories.
Royal also has a second stroke length partner facility in Auckland, NZ that supports our customers in Oceania.

Experience
In the last 5 years alone we have designed over 300 unique cylinders for a broad range of applications. Since our inception we have designed over 5000 custom cylinder solutions in an extensive range of industries from heavy duty resource industries to entertainment, food service and aerospace. These custom solutions were created because the standard cylinders available would not meet the applications specific demands.
Quality
We stand by the design and manufacturing of our cylinders. We inspect and test every cylinder produced before we ship and all our cylinders come with a 1 year warranty for manufacturing and material defects. At any time if our cylinder fails we will provide customer service support to review the failure and provide information on repairing it to original factory specifications. We will also assist in diagnosing the underlying cause of failure in the operation.
Purpose
Our purpose is to provide our customers the right solution to their actuation problem at the right price. We are very good at diagnosing underlying problems that cause actuators to underperform or fail prematurely. There are a myriad of cylinders available in the market but the key is finding or creating the right one for your particular application that will perform to your expectations.
